The Energy Supply business unit consists of around ten companies in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Poland. The companies manufacture and market products for electrical distribution. The business unit's customers are grid owners, electrical contractors, electrical wholesalers, railway companies and industrial customers. Examples of customers are grid owners such as Vattenfall, Statnett and Finngrid, railway customers such as the Swedish Transport Administration and the Norwegian National Rail Administration and industrial customers such as Sandvik and Korsnäs.
Some of the business unit's companies are purely trading companies that market their products to their local markets, while others develop, produce and sell their own products on a global market. The characteristic features of the companies in the business unit are extensive technical know-how, strong brands and significant market shares in their market segments.
